FREE WILL, GOD EXISTENCE AND OMNISCIENCE

1 – Here we wish to the show WHY and HOW the “free will” of any man/woman is compatible with:

A) GOD EXISTENCE, as the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, according to which He is:- unique- almighty- omniscient and infallible- ethernal (in time)- infinite (in space)- the creator of the universe (namely the “Logos” of Plato, the Word” of the Apostle Saint John or the Messiah of the Bible also called “The Son of God”, identified with Jesus Christ for Christianity)- the”Spirit of God” (“Uach ha Kofdesh”), namely the “breath” of life, science and wisdom in the universe and man (the “Holy Spirit” for Christianity)

B) GOD’S OMNISCIENCE: according to Jesus, God Father is omniscient, namely he can state whether an arbitrary logical sentence is true or false (2-way Aristotile Principle of Non Contradiction). Therefore if so Hes wishes He can determine the fate of all possible future and past choices made by each individual and related events. This refers in particular to the event special for every man and woman: their ultimate fate after death, namely the salvation or perdition of their souls.

2 – GOD’S GIFT OF FREE WILL TO MANKIND AND NOTION OF FREE WILL

According to the Bible (Genesis) God created man endowing him, like all angels of the gift of “free will”. “Free will” (Wikipedia) is the capacity (of any man or woman) to make choices in which the outcome is non-deterministic, i.e., it is not uniquely pre-determined by (the mankind) history of past events (in particular of each man’s or woman’s history), Hence, this means that all future choices and subsequent events involving our free will are non deterministic too!

3 – CONFIRMATIONS FROM VIRGIN MARY PERSONAL REVELATIONS

That future mankind events are not uniquely pre-determined has been confirmed also by Virgin Mary herself. In fact, during her so-called Great Apparitions to selected individuals or groups of individuals she has warned mankind about possible oncoming catastophic events, caused by makind wicked behavior, violation of Commandments and widespread corruption by the people of Israel (Jews and Christians). These are usually referred to as Personal Revelations several of which have occurred particularly in the XIX and XX centuries (we refer here only to those officially approved by the Vatican through the appropriate authorities). However, according to the Virgin Mary some of these events can be avoided provided full conversion and intense prayers are brought about by the community of the faithful. Which means that such events are not yet certain and deterministic in nature. They can thus be modified or even nullified by God upon collective prayers of the Church or even single intercessions/prayers of exceptionally faithful individuals. This means in other words that our free will can affect future events which therefore remain non deterministic in character as our free will.

4 – THE ISSUE OF GOD’S OMNISCIENCE (HOW and WHY)

HOW is it possible to reconcile human “free will” with God’s omniscience, namely his capability of knowing “in principle” the fate of all possible future and past choices/events involved in the life of each individual? The only possible answer is that God himself, by means of a pure act of love, has given to each man/woman the possibility of assessing his/her own choice. In this way God has decided to restraint himself from his infinite power of omniscience in order to give man the liberty of choosing good of evil, namely the route of God or that toward Satan. Regarding the reason WHY God has acted in this way, the obvious answer is LOVE! In this sense “free will” is really a true miracle of love and generosity of God toward mankind,
