DALL’OMELIA DI DON ENRICO RONCAGLIA (*)
Tit 2:11-15
Egli ha dato se stesso per noi, al fine di riscattarci da ogni iniquità, e purificare per sé un popolo suo proprio, zelante per le opere buone.
Luc 2:21
Passati gli otto giorni, il bambino doveva essere circonciso, e gli fu posto il nome Gesú.
Siamo alla vigilia dell’Epifania, la manifestazione di Gesu’ al mondo attraverso il Re Magi.
Il Vangelo e’ stato predicato in tutto il mondo.
Oggi ricordiamo papa Telesforo martire, morto il 2 o 5 gennaio 137/138. Vale la pena sacrificare anche le cose insostituibili, anche la vita. Le ritroveremo moltiplicate.
E’ un insegnamento che non tramonta mai e vale anche al giorno presente. Il culto di molti santi e’ stato trascurato e dimenticato dal Conciclio Vaticano II. Di molti santi e’ stata stravolta l’immagine.
Noi dobbiamo dare un esempio ai figli e ai posteri. Le nostre vicende saranno ricordate. Come dunque ci siamo comportati nella difficolta’?Abbiamo resistito e abbiamo combattuto per la fede?
Sta a noi dare l’esempio! Occorre impegnarsi per la salvezza, non per un vantaggio momentaneo illusorio.
Conserviamo dunque il dono del nostro battesimo! Non possiamo barattarlo per un piatto di lenticchie! Occorre che ci impegnamo per la salvezza delle anime che verranno in futuro!
Chiamiamo Maria e Gesu’ accanto a noi per vincere questa battaglia!
Sia lodato Gesu’ Cristo! Sempre sia lodato!

He gave himself up for us, in order to redeem us from all iniquity, and to purify for himself a people of his own, zealous for good works.
Luke 2:21
After eight days, the child was to be circumcised, and he was given the name Jesus.
We are on the eve of Epiphany, the manifestation of Jesus to the world through the Magi.
The Gospel has been preached all over the world.
Today we remember Pope Telesforo martyr, dead on January 2 or 5 of 137/138. It is worth sacrificing even irreplaceable things, even life. We will find them multiplied.
It is a teaching that never fades and is also valid in the present day.
The cult of many saints was neglected and forgotten by the Second Vatican Council.
The image of many saints has been distorted.
We must set an example for children and for posterity. Our stories will be remembered.
How then did we behave in difficulty? Did we resist and fought for the faith?
It is up to us to lead by example!
It is necessary to strive for salvation, not for an illusory momentary advantage.
Let us therefore keep the gift of our baptism! We can’t trade it for a plate of lentils!
We need to commit ourselves to the salvation of the souls that will come in the future!
Let’s call Mary and Jesus next to us to win this battle!
