DALL’OMELIA DI DON ENRICO RONCAGLIA (*)
Tit 2:11-15
Egli ha dato se stesso per noi, al fine di riscattarci da ogni iniquità, e purificare per sé un popolo suo proprio, zelante per le opere buone. Insegna queste cose e raccomandale: in nome del Cristo Gesú nostro Signore.
Luc 2:21
Passati gli otto giorni, il bambino doveva essere circonciso, e gli fu posto il nome Gesú.
Oggi e’ il primo giorno dell’anno e l’ultimo dell’ottava dell’Avvento. E’ il giorno della circoncisione, che rappresentava l’Alleanza con Dio. Il popolo di Dio si impegnava ad obbedire i Suoi comandamenti. In cambio Dio offriva la Sua protezione. La circoncisione significava per gli ebrei anche un rito di espiazione per il peccato originale.
Per Gesu’ invece e’ la prima perdita del suo sangue preziosissimo per il quale otteniamo la salvezza e la nostra purificazione.
Anche la sua nascita e’ l’inizio della sua sofferenza patita per noi.
Nel Vetus ordo vi e’ per il primo dell’anno la festa della maternita’ di Maria. E’ questo l’inizio del Piano Divino. Maria conosceva, del resto, molto bene le profezie contenute nelle sacre scritture che si riferivano a lei.
Cosa comportava per lei essere madre del Verbo sofferente (Isaia), il Figlio di Dio? Certamente preoccupazione e sofferenza. Infatti lei era a conoscenza del progetto di Dio per la Redenzione, che doveva portare Gesu’ al Calvario!
Anche Gesu’, sebbene Dio onnipotente, ha dovuto lottare, soffrire e morire sulla croce,
E Maria gia’ sapeva che il trionfo di Gesu’ sarebbe avvenuto attraverso la sua Passione e Morte sulla croce.
Anche noi aspettiamo il Trionfo del Cuore Immacolato. Ma non possiamo restare ad attenderlo inerti! Prima ci aspettano la lotta, il combattimento, il dolore e la sofferenza. Il Piano di Dio passa attraverso il nostro combattimento con il male.
Dobbiamo affrontare questa battaglia quotidiana con fede e con coraggio! La nostra fede, finora, era forse a buon mercato e non veramente impegnata fino in fondo!
Ma gli esempi di tanti cristiani perseguitati che ci hanno preceduto o che vivono ora in tanti paesi, ci possono insegnare come si combatte veramente!
Non pieghiamo, dunque, la testa a satana e ai suoi complici! Non possiamo piegarci ai padroni di questo mondo!
Dopo la sofferenza ci sara’ la ricompensa della vita eterna!
Iniziamo questo nuovo anno nel segno del Cuore Immacolato di Maria, consacrandoci questa sera a Lei e al Suo Cuore Immacolato!
Sia lodato Gesu’ Cristo! Sempre sia lodato!

Tit 2: 11-15
He gave himself up for us, in order to redeem us from all iniquity, and to purify for himself a people of his own, zealous for good works. Teach these things and recommend them: in the name of Christ Jesus our Lord.
Luke 2:21
After eight days, the child was to be circumcised, and he was given the name Jesus.
Today is the first day of the year and the last of the octave of Advent. It is the day of circumcision, which represented the Covenant with God. God’s people were committed to obeying His commandments.
In return, God offered His protection.
Circumcision also meant a rite of atonement for original sin for the Jews.
For Jesus, however, it is the first loss of his most precious blood for which we obtain salvation and our purification. His birth is also the beginning of his suffering suffered for us.
In the Vetus ordo there is the feast of Mary’s motherhood for the first of the year. This is the beginning of the Divine Plan.
Moreover, Mary knew very well the prophecies contained in the sacred scriptures that referred to her.
What did it mean for her to be the mother of the suffering Word (Isaiah), the Son of God? Certainly worry and suffering.
In fact, she was aware of God’s plan for Redemption, which was to lead Jesus to Calvary!
Even Jesus, although Almighty God, had to fight, suffer and die on the cross.
And Mary already knew that Jesus’ triumph would take place through his Passion and Death on the cross.
We too await the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart.
But we cannot wait inert for him! First, the struggle, the struggle, the pain and the suffering await us.
God’s Plan goes through our fight with evil. We must face this daily battle with faith and courage!
Our faith, until now, was perhaps cheap and not really committed to the end!
But the examples of so many persecuted Christians who preceded us or who now live in so many countries, can teach us how to really fight!
Let us not, therefore, bow our heads to satan and his accomplices!
We cannot bow to the masters of this world!
After suffering there will be the reward of eternal life!
We begin this new year in the sign of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, by consecrating ourselves this evening to her and to her Immaculate Heart!
Praised be Jesus Christ! Always be praised!
