EVANGELIUM E OMELIA\GOSPEL AND HOMILY:

Evangelium  Luc 21:25-33.

Gospel  Luke 21:25-33
At that time, Jesus said to His disciples: There will be signs in the sun and moon and stars, and upon the earth distress of nations bewildered by the roaring of sea and waves; men fainting for fear and for expectation of the things that are coming on the world; for the powers of heaven will be shaken. And then they will see the son of Man coming upon a cloud with great power and majesty. but when these things begin to come to pass, look up, and lift up your heads, because your redemption is at hand. And He spoke to them a parable. Behold the fig tree, and all the trees. When they now put forth their buds, you know that summer is near. Even so, when you see these things coming to pass, know that the kingdom of God is near. Amen I say to you, this generation will not pass away till all things have been accomplished. Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will not pass away.

DALL’OMELIA DI (FROM THE HOMILY BY) DON ENRICO RONCAGLIA – DOMENICA 28 NOVEMBRE, S.MESSA ORE 10.30.

DALL’OMELIA DI DON ENRICO RONCAGLIA (*)

Rom 13:11-14.

FROM THE HOMILY BY DON ENRICO RONCAGLIA (**)

Rom 13:11-14
Brethren: Understand, for it is now the hour for us to rise from sleep, because now our salvation is nearer than when we came to believe.

Luke 21:25-33
Amen I say to you, this generation will not pass away till all things have been accomplished. Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will not pass away.

Today’s Gospel is similar to that of last Sunday. We are on the first Sunday of the Advent season.

There is still no mention of the birthplace. Today the liturgy reminds us that Jesus Christ must return and manifest himself in a powerful way, his coming will be glorious.

We will have to raise our heads towards Christ, because our liberation is near! His coming will be a source of fear for the world, unlike us.

We will not be upset by fear, but every personal reality, in society and in the world will be upset.

For Christmas, Jesus wants to enter our families. In the face of the false pope who rejects him, in the face of the world with its wickedness, we must be ready to welcome the Lord in the time of Advent,

In the four weeks we must clothe ourselves with the weapons of light:

-the Christian theological virtues (faith, hope and charity)

-prayer done with confidence

-charity towards one’s neighbor.

Praised be Jesus Christ! Always be praised!
