DALL’OMELIA DI DON ENRICO RONCAGLIA (*)
Dalla lettera di San Paolo (1 Cor 15:51-57): “E quando questo mortale rivestirà l’immortalità, allora sarà ciò che è scritto: La morte è stata assorbita dalla vittoria.“
Nel Graduale la Sequentia esordisce:
“Dies iræ, dies illa
Solvet sæclum in favílla:
Teste David cum Sibýlla.“
e conclude:
“Huic ergo parce, Deus:
Pie Iesu Dómine,
Dona eis réquiem.
Amen.“
Infine nel Vangelo (Ioann 5:25-29) Gesu’ dice:
“Amen, amen, dico vobis, quia venit hora, et nunc est, quando mórtui áudient vocem Fílii Dei: et qui audíerint, vivent.“
Oggi e’ il giorno della commemorazione dei fedeli defunti, specialmente per di coloro che soffrono nel Purgatorio. Fanno parte della Chiesa Purgante. Dobbiamo ricordarci di loro nellòa preghiera. Anche loro fanno parte della Chiesa, in comunione tramite lo Spirito Santo, cCrpo Mistico di Gesu’ Cristo.
Il sacrificio per eccellenza, il mezzo principale e’ la S. Messa. La prima e’ per i sofferenti, la seconda per tutti i defunti in purgatotio e la terza per i pontefici e le intenzioni del papa regnante, ovvero Benedetto XVI.
Nel Vetus Ordo il rito della S. Messa e’ diverso per varie ragioni. Il sacerdote, al contrario di questo giorno, porta usualmente il fardello dei fedeli viventi. Al termine non c’e’ benedizione perche’ sono gia’ benedetti da Dio. Per loro occorrono i nostri suffragi!
Sia lodato Gesu’ Cristo! Sempre sia lodato!

From the letter of St. Paul (1 Cor 15: 51-57): “And when this mortal puts on immortality, then it will be what is written: Death has been absorbed by victory.”
In the Gradual the Sequentia begins: “Dies iræ, dies illa Solvet sæclum in favílla: Heads David cum Sibýlla. ” and concludes: “Huic ergo parce, Deus: Pie Iesu Dómine, Dona eis réquiem. Amen.”
Finally in the Gospel (Ioann 5: 25-29) Jesus says: “Amen, amen, I say vobis, quia venit hora, et nunc est, when mórtui áudient vocem Fílii Dei: et qui audíerint, vivent.”
Today is the day of the commemoration of the faithful departed, especially for those who suffer in Purgatory. They are part of the Purgante Church.
We must remember them in prayer. They too are part of the Church, in communion through the Holy Spirit, the Mystical Crime of Jesus Christ.
The sacrifice par excellence, the main means is the Holy Mass. The first is for the suffering, the second for all the deceased in purgatory and the third for the popes and the intentions of the reigning pope, or Benedict XVI.
In the Vetus Ordo the rite of the Holy Mass is different for various reasons. The priest, unlike this day, usually carries the burden of the living faithful.
At the end there is no blessing because they are already blessed by God. They need our suffrages!
Praised be Jesus Christ! Always be praised!
