Evangelium Matt 11:25-30
In illo témpore: Respóndens Iesus, dixit: Confíteor tibi, Pater, Dómine cœli et terræ, quia abscondísti hæc a sapiéntibus et prudéntibus, et revelásti ea párvulis. Ita, Pater: quóniam sic fuit plácitum ante te. Omnia mihi trádita sunt a Patre meo. Et nemo novit Fílium nisi Pater: neque Patrem quis novit nisi Fílius, et cui volúerit Fílius reveláre. Veníte ad me, omnes, qui laborátis et oneráti estis, et ego refíciam vos. Tóllite iugum meum super vos, et díscite a me, quia mitis sum et húmilis corde: et inveniétis réquiem animábus vestris. At that time, Jesus spoke and said, I praise You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You hid these things from the wise and prudent, and revealed them to little ones. Yes, Father, for such was Your good pleasure. All things have been delivered to Me by My Father; and no one knows the Son except the Father; nor does anyone know the Father except the Son, and him to whom the Son chooses to reveal Him. Come to Me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you, and learn from Me, for I am meek and humble of heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy, and My burden light.

San Paolo per la conversione degli ebrei: “Poiché in Gesù Cristo nessun valore ha il fatto di essere o no circoncisi, ma l’essere una nuova creatura. E quanti seguiranno questa regola, pace su loro e misericordia, e sull’Israele di Dio.”
E Gesu’ (nel Vangelo di Matteo) afferma: «Venite a me, voi tutti che siete affaticati ed oppressi, e io vi darò riposo. Prendete su di voi il mio giogo, e imparate da me che sono mite ed umile di cuore; e troverete riposo per le vostre anime, perché il mio giogo è soave, e il mio peso è leggero».
Oggi celebriamo la festa di S.Francesco d’Assisi Patrono d’Italia. Ha portato a termine nella sua vita una conversione completa. Anche noi siamo impegnati nella conversione personale e della Chiesa. “Ripara la mia Chiesa!“. Questa e’ l’esortazione di Gesu’ Cristo a San Francesco e a tutti noi. La Chiesa nasce infatti dalla Croce, il sacrificio di Cristo.
San Francesco ci insegna il percorso di conversione necessario. Cominciando dalla vita di ogni giorno, dalla condotta verso gli altri, il rispetto delle donne, l’aiuto agli ammalati, ai poveri e agli umili. E’ Gesu’ Crocefisso che lo attira! Vuole essere come Gesu’. E comincia a predicare la letizia umile! Si puo’ essere felici nella poverta’!
Francesco attira proseliti da tutta Europa e in breve il numero dei suoi adepti cresce (dopo 10 anni dalla fondazione del suo ordine sono gia’ in 5000).
Proseguiamo dunque il suo cammino riprendendo le sue orme!
Sia lodato Gesu’ Cristo! Sempre sia lodato!

Saint Paul for the conversion of the Jews: “Since in Jesus Christ there is no value in being circumcised or not, but in being a new creature. And how many will follow this rule, peace be upon them and mercy, and upon the Israel of God. ”
And Jesus (in Matthew’s Gospel) says: “Come to me, all you who are fatigued and oppressed, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me that I am meek and humble of heart; and you will find rest for your souls, because my yoke is sweet, and my weight is light ».
Today we celebrate the feast of St. Francis of Assisi, patron saint of Italy. He completed a complete conversion in his life.
We too are committed to personal and Church conversion.
“Repair my Church!“. This is the exhortation of Jesus Christ to Francis and all of us. The Church is in fact born from the Cross, the sacrifice of Christ.
St. Francis teaches us the necessary conversion path. Starting from everyday life, from conduct towards others, respect for women, help to the sick, the poor and the humble.
It is Jesus Crucified who attracts him! He wants to be like Jesus. And begins to preach humble gladness! You can be happy in poverty!
Francis attracts proselytes from all over Europe and in a short time the number of his followers grows (10 years after the foundation of his order there are already 5000).
Let us therefore continue on his journey by resuming his footsteps!
Praised be Jesus Christ! Always be praised!
