You cannot serve God and mammon. Therefore I say to you, do not be anxious for your life, what you shall eat; nor yet for your body, what you shall put on. Is not the life a greater thing than the food, and the body than the clothing? Look at the birds of the air: they do not sow, or reap, or gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are not you of much more value than they? But which of you by being anxious about it can add to his stature a single cubit? And as for clothing, why are you anxious? Consider how the lilies of the field grow; they neither toil nor spin, yet I say to you that not even Solomon in all his glory was arrayed like one of those. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which flourishes today but tomorrow is thrown into the oven, how much more you, O you of little faith! Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or, ‘What shall we drink?’ or, ‘What are we to put on?’ – for after all these things the Gentiles seek; – for your Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the Kingdom of God and His justice, and all these things shall be given you besides.

E’ quasi terminato il mese di agosto dedicato a Dio Padre, creatore di tutti gli uomini e di tutte le creature viventi. Che mantiene con la sua provvidenza, amore, nonche’ infinita pazienza paterna. L’amore paterno di Dio verso le sue creature, gli uomini in particolare, e’ infinito.
Il vangelo di oggi ci dice infatti: cercate prima il regno di Dio e la sua giustizia! Tutto il resto vi sara dato in piu’!
Guardate gli uccelli del cielo, dice infatti il Signore. Guardate i gigli del campo, cioe’ i fiori selvatici, i piu’ belli che si possono trovare in natura. Tutte le creature sono nutrite e tenute in vita da Dio.
Ma come in natura occorre rispettare l’ambiente affinche’ sopravviva cosi per lo spirito occorre nutrirsi della sana dottrina, senza alterarla in nessun modo. Nemmeno una iota o una virgola della parola che ci viene da Dio deve essere cambiata!
Solo cosi’ possiamo credere nella parola di Dio con tutto il nostro cuore e la nostra mente!
Il modo giusto di credere e’ pero’ quello che Gesu’ stesso ci indica. Dobbiamo quindi cercare innanzitutto il regno di Dio! Seguiamo quindi questa via! Non affanniamoci oltre misura per il nostro futuro! Evitiamo di preoccupiamoci inutilmente degli eventi, facendone a volte quasi una malattia e sbagliando talora a valutarne l’importanza e le proporzioni reali. Infatti cosi facendo diventiamo succubi di veri e propri idoli che diventano padroni della nostra vita! Solo gli uomini che non credono in Dio lo fanno!
Infatti nel Vangelo Gesu’ dice che non possiamo servire due padroni!
Il nostro unico padrone deve essere Dio, con il suo regno dell’amore, della giustizia, della carita’, della gioia e della pace. L’altro e’ il Demonio!
Dobbiamo quindi abbandonare tutti gli idoli (degli affari, del danaro, della ricchezza e del potere, dell’ambizione, della carriera, ecc.). Si tratta infatti del falso regno terreno, regno effimero, di Satana! Regno dell’ingiuria, dell’odio, della calunnia, dell’ingiustizia, del dolore senza fine e della morte. Si tratta infatti del Regno di Satana, destinato a non durare ed a finire inevitabilmente nel caos e nella tragedia!
Dobbiamo quindi combattere il regno di Satana sia nella societa’ che dentro di noi!
Noi, se siamo veramente di Dio, dobbiamo affidarci a Lui totalmente, ponendoci al suo servizio nel suo regno. Obbediamo percio’ ai suoi comandamenti e mettiamo in pratica i suoi consigli!
Preoccupiamoci dunque solo di questo e affidiamo a Dio la nostra stessa vita! Decidiamo di dipendere da Lui in ogni cosa! Sia per le cose necessarie per il nostro sostentamento che negli eventi e vicende della vita. Chiediamogli dunque ispirazione, consiglio e intelligenza!
Tutto il resto ci sara’ dato in piu’!

The month of August dedicated to God the Father, creator of all men and all living creatures, is almost over. Which he maintains with his providence, love, as well as infinite paternal patience.
God’s paternal love for his creatures, men in particular, is infinite. In fact, today’s Gospel tells us: seek first the kingdom of God and his justice!
Everything else will be given to you in addition! Look at the birds of the sky, says the Lord. Look at the lilies of the field, that is, the wild flowers, the most beautiful that can be found in nature.
All creatures are fed and kept alive by God. But as in nature it is necessary to respect the environment in order for it to survive, so for the spirit it is necessary to feed on sound doctrine, without altering it in any way. Not even an iota or a comma of the word that comes to us from God must be changed!
Only in this way can we believe in the word of God with all our hearts and minds! However, the right way to believe is what Jesus himself points out to us. We must therefore first seek the kingdom of God! So let’s follow this path!
Let us not worry beyond measure for our future! Let’s avoid worrying unnecessarily about events, sometimes making them almost a disease and sometimes making a mistake in assessing their importance and real proportions. In fact, by doing so we become slaves of real idols who become masters of our life! Only men who don’t believe in God do! In fact, in the Gospel Jesus says that we cannot serve two masters!
Our only master must be God, with his kingdom of love, justice, charity, joy and peace. The other is the Devil! We must therefore abandon all idols (of business, money, wealth and power, ambition, career, etc.). It is in fact the false earthly kingdom, ephemeral kingdom, of Satan! Kingdom of injury, hatred, slander, injustice, endless pain and death. It is in fact the Kingdom of Satan, destined not to last and to inevitably end up in chaos and tragedy!
We must therefore fight the reign of Satan both in society and within us! We, if we are truly of God, must entrust ourselves to him totally, placing ourselves at his service in his kingdom.
So let’s obey his commandments and put his advice into practice! Let us therefore only concern ourselves with this and entrust our very life to God! We decide to depend on him in everything!
Both for the things necessary for our sustenance and in the events and vicissitudes of life. So let’s ask him for inspiration, advice and intelligence! Everything else will be given to us in addition!
