Luc 12:35-40
In illo témpore: Dixit Iesus discípulis suis: Sint lumbi vestri præcíncti, et lucernæ ardéntes in mánibus vestris, et vos símiles homínibus exspectántibus dóminum suum, quando revertátur a núptiis: ut, cum vénerit et pulsáverit, conféstim apériant ei. Beáti servi illi, quos, cum vénerit dóminus, invénerit vigilántes: amen, dico vobis, quod præcínget se, et fáciet illos discúmbere, et tránsiens ministrábit illis. Et si vénerit in secúnda vigília, et si in tértia vigília vénerit, et ita invénerit, beáti sunt servi illi. Hoc autem scitóte, quóniam, si sciret paterfamílias, qua hora fur veníret, vigiláret útique, et non síneret pérfodi domum suam. Et vos estóte paráti, quia, qua hora non putátis, Fílius hóminis véniet.

Oggi 15 luglio e’ la vigilia della Madonna del Carmelo, la grande festa mariana.
Oggi ricordiamo S. Enrico imperatore del S. Romano impero. Ricchissimo e potente non si lascio’ conquistare il cuore dalla cose materiali ma si dedico’ alla carita’, alla Chiesa dando esempio di virtu’ cristiana assieme la moglie.
Ma il Signore ci dice: Tenete i vostri fianchi cinti e le lucerne accese! Tenevi pronti!
Cerchiamo di essere pronti in attesa del Signore! Restiamo vigilanti e preghiamo il Signore! Non lasciamoci distrarre dalle cose terrene! Se Gesu’ ci trovera desti e pronti nella sua attesa, egli stesso si presentera’ per servici!
Sia lodato Gesu’ Cristo!

Today 15 July is the eve of Our Lady of Carmel, the great Marian feast. Today we remember St. Henry emperor of the Roman empire. Extremely rich and powerful, he did not allow his heart to be conquered by material things but dedicated himself to charity, to the Church, giving an example of Christian virtue together with his wife.
But the Lord tells us: Keep your hips girded and the lamps lit! You got ready!
Let us be ready waiting for the Lord!
Let’s stay vigilant and pray to the Lord!
Let us not be distracted by earthly things! If Jesus finds us awake and ready in his expectation, he himself will present himself to serve us!
Praised be Jesus Christ!
